artist biography
Carl Åke Napolion Liljeson was born January 6, 1902 in Motala. He was a Swedish painter.
Liljeson studied at Edward Berggrens målarskola (painting school) in 1925 and 1926, and then at the Konstakademin (Academy of Fine Arts) in Stockholm from 1926 to 1932. During this time he also took study trips to Paris.
He worked primarily in oil and painted motifs he painted included figurative, Winter ice, horse, harvest scenes, birds and landscapes from the Östgötaslätten region in Sweden.
Liljeson is represented at the Östergötland Museum.
He passed away in 1973 at the age of 70.
