Gustav Arne Husberg, originally Andersson, was born May 4, 1925 in Höganäs. He was a Swedish artist.

Arne studied at Skånska målarskolan (Skåne painting school) in Malmö, with Marie Wadskjær painting school in Copenhagen, with Isaac Grünewald until his death in 1946, and in France from 1948 to 1949.

He painted figurative compositions, circus scenes, still life works, light-saturated landscapes and beaches, mainly from Skåne and Kullabygden He also painted in France and Spain and in addition to oil paintings also produced charcoal drawings.

He made his debut at the Kullakonst exhibition in Höganäs in 1944. During his career he had a large number of solo exhibitions. He participated regularly in group exhibitions including shows at Vikingsberg in Helsingborg over multiple years, the exhibition Fyra unga skåningar tillsammans (Four Young Skåningar Together) alongside Bengt Orup, Kaj Siesjö and Torsten Hult at the Norrköping Art Museum in 1949, Helsingborgs konstförenings Vårsalonger (Helsingborg's Art Association's Spring Salons), Skåne's Art Association and Konstnärernas Samarbetsorganisation (Artists' Cooperative Organsation) (KSO). In 2006, a large retrospective exhibition was held at Vikingsberg.

Examples of Arne’s work is held at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Malmö Art Museum, Norrköping Art Museum, Ystad Art Museum, Helsingborg City Museum, Höganäs Museum and Art Gallery, the Regional Museum Kristianstad, Landskrona Museum, Eskilstuna Art Museum, Eksjö Museum, Vadsbo Museum, Alingsås Museum, and city collections in Stockholm at several municipalities.

From 1950 he was married to the artist Bibban Berendahl. Their son Simon Arne and daughter Katinka Husberg are also artists. Arne passed away at the age of 86 on August 14, 2011 in Viken.
