Torsten Rydén was a Swedish artist born in 1910.
Rydén studied at the Arbetarnas Bildningsförbund (ABF) under artist Gustaf Andrésen (1890-1963). He took private study trips to France, Italy, Germany, England and the Netherlands.
He painted landscapes and interiors in oil, often with an impasto technique. In Sweden he exhibited in Kumla 1943, Örebro in 1947, Katrineholns SKF's konstför in 1963, Kalmar Art Museum in 1962 and 1965, and with the Arbetarnas Bildningsförbund, Kalmar in1966. He exhibited elsewhere in Scandinavia including in Denmark in Silkeborg in1966, and in Norway at Arendahl in 1966.
Rydén passed away in 1985.
