Cedric Flower (Australian 1920-2000) - full bio to follow
Painter, draughtsman and writer; born 22 August 1920 in Sydney, where he studied with Dattilo Rubbo; his first exhibition was at the Macquarie Galleries, Sydney in 1941; worked as a painter, illustrator, book and stage designer, as well as writing radio plays and scripts for films and features; worked principally in London from 1950 to1955; his work possesses a whimsical decorative quality that recalls Dufy; died 6 August 2000.
