artist biography
Eric Algot Cederberg was born June 27, 1897 in Välluv, Skåne. He was a Swedish artist.
As an artist, Cederberg was self-taught. He took private study trips to Denmark, Germany, Paris and the south of France. He debuted with an exhibition in Helsingborg in 1922 and participated in exhibitions with Skåne's art association beginning in 1926 and with Sweden's general art association since 1938 and in Kulla art since 1945. Cederberg painted small Braque -inspired still lifes works, urban scenes and landscape paintings as well as some abstract works .
Examples of Cederberg’s work is held in the public collection of the Kristianstad Museum, the Västerås Art Museum, the Skissernas Museum (Museum of Sketches) in Lund, and the Helsingborg Museum.
Cederberg passed away on November 2, 1984 in Helsingborg.
