artist biography
Kurt Lindon was born August 20, 1910 in Kungsholms parish, Stockholm. He was a Swedish artist.

Lindon studied at the Tekniska skolan in Stockholm. He also took self study trips to Norway and France. Best known for his distinct naïve style, Lindon painted figure compositions, landscapes and scenes from the outskirts of Stockholm, often in a setting with snow as well as still life works, predominantly in oils. He exhibited regularly. Select solo shows include exhibitions in 1958 and 1960 at Stockholmsposten. He was awarded the Kiruna Municipal Fellowship in 1962.

His works can be found in the collections at the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, Stockholm City Museum, Gothenburg Art Museum, Norrköping Art Museum, Linköping Museum, Östersund Museum and the Borås Art Museum.

Lindon passed away at the age of 74 on April 25, 1985 in Stockholm.
