artist biography
Carl Oscar Larsson was born in Malmö in on August 1, 1887. He was a Swedish artist.
He studied both as an artist and typographer at the Malmö tekniska yrkesskola between 1910 and 1914. He took private study trips to Denmark and Germany.
He has solo exhibitions throughout his career at galleries in Lund, Stockholm and Malmö and regularly showed in group exhibitions with Skånes konstförening (Skåne's Art Association) beginning in 1916. He is best known for his landscapes and street scenes from Lund, Malmö, Copenhagen and Roskilde, self portraits and harbour scenes.
Larsson is represented in a public collection in Sweden at Uppsala University.
He passed away in 1962 in his birthplace of Malmö, aged 75.
