Carl Ferdinand Evert Delden was born January 29, 1906 in Söderköping. He was a Swedish painter.

He was the son of merchant Ferdinand Peterson and Anna Maria Karlsson and in 1942 married Margit Ingeborg Bergqvist. His brother was the illustrator and poster artist Sven Olle Delden.

As an artist, Delden was self-taught, and he undertook extensive private study trips which included Morocco and England in 1932, Finland and Estonia in 1935, France in 1947 and 1951, Spain in 1951 and Italy in 1954.

He made his debut with a solo exhibition in Linköping in 1943 at the Linköping Museum. He had numerous solo exhibitions throughout his career including 'Modern Konst i Hemmiljö' (Modern Art in the Home) in Stockholm in 1946, at Rådhuset in Jönköping in 1947, galleries in Norrköping in 1947, 1952, 1958 and 1965, at Borås in 1948, and at Lilla Galleriet in Stockholm in 1955. He exhibited extensively in group exhibitions including ones run by the Swedish Artists Association - Konstnärernas Riksorganisation.

Delden’s work is represented is public collections including the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the National Museum in Stockholm, Norrköping Art Museum, the Östergötland Museum and in King Gustav VI Adolf's collection.

He passed away July 18, 1997 in Norrköping.
