artist biography
Georg (Joye) Thore Lindström was born August 16, 1912 in Stockholm. He was a Swedish painter and sculptor.

As an artist Lindström was self-taught. He had solo exhibitions including one at De Ungas salong in Stockholm in 1947. He exhibited also in group exhibitions including the National Museum in Stockholm exhibition Unga tecknare (Young Artists) and in exhibitions at Liljevalch's art gallery. His art consists of still lifes, figurative works, portraits and city scapes (particularly of his home town Stockholm), as well as abstract interiors in oil and compositions in mosaic technique.

Lindström is represented at the Stockholm City Museum.

He passed away in 1985 in Stockholm.
