artist biography
Erik Brandt was a Swedish visual artist born in Malmö on 16 August, 1910.
He studied at Skånska Målarskolan and took study trips to Paris in 1950, Normandy and Brittany in 1951.
Brandt exhibited in Malmö with Skånes Konstförening, and at galleries in Halmstad, Hälsingborg, Trelleborg, Hörby, Klippan and Åstorp and Bjurhagen.
He is best known for his portraits, figure compositions and still life works in oil and wax chalk.
Brandt passed away in Malmö in 1987 aged 77.
