Erik Bengt Torgny Delefors was born on March 17, 1917, in Gesäter parish. He was a Swedish artist.

Delefors studied at the Konstgillets målarskolal in Borås from 1943 to 1947, Valands konstskola in 1948 and then under André Lhote in Paris from 1949 to 1953. Whilst in Paris he also studied at Académie de la Grand Chaumière in 1950. He studied enamel painting at the world renowned Gustavsberg's factories in 1967. Select exhibitions include a two person show with Georg Andersson at the Borås konstgalleri in 1950 and again later that year with Nini Landgren and Stig Delang in Vänersborg, with Greta Ehrnberg at Lorensberg's art salon in 1963. He showed at numerous group exhibitions at Liljevalchs konsthall in Stockholm. He had his first solo exhibition in 1951 at Lilla Galleriet in Stockholm.

He was awarded the French State Cultural Scholarship in 1952, the City of Gothenburg's Cultural Scholarship in 1975, and the State Work Scholarship in 1976 and 1980.

His art consists of an expressive figure painting, bold still lifes and interiors.

Delefors is represented in numerous public collections in Sweden including the Moderna Museet, Göteborgs konstmuseum, Borås konstmuseum, Statens konstråd and in several municipalities and county councils.

He passed away at the age of 79 on April 25, 1996.
