artist biography
Åke Lagerborg was a Swedish sculptor born in Stockholm in 1927. He studied at the ABF Skulpturskola and with Ture Johansson and Arne Jones between 1954-56, and with Luciano Minguzzi at the Accademia di Brera, Milan in 1963. Labergborg has numerous public work around Sweden including a wall relief at Umeå University and is represented in public collections including the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the Gothenburg Art Museum, and the Umeå and Boras Museums.
