Curt Vilhelm Burström, born June 24, 1920 in Stockholm, was a Swedish artist and graphic artist.
Burström studied at the Konstakademien (Art Academy's graphic school) in Stockholm from 1948 and 1949, but was also a self taught artist who undertook study trips to Spain and France. He exhibited in several of the Unga tecknare (Young Designers) shows at the National Museum in Stockholm. He had a solo exhibition at Ekströms Konstsalong in Stockholm in 1950 and at Galerie Artek in Helsinki in 1959. Burström showed in a number of group exhibitions include 'De Unga' (The Young) in Stockholm in 1961 and 'Junge Kunst' (Young Art) in Fulda, Germany in 1962. His early works featured figurative and landscape motifs and he then switched to a more abstract composition form.
Burström is represented at the Moderna Museet and National Museum in Stockholm, and at the Norrköping Art Museum .
Burström passed away in Stockholm in 1964 aged just 44.
