Gustav Holger Fritiof Kulo Green was a Swedish artist born in Skara on December 4, 1913.

Green studied at the Tekniska aftonskolan in Stockholm in 1936 and 1937, at Isaac Grünewald’s school in 1945 and 1946 and during study trips to Belgium, Switzerland, Italy and Norway. He spent a period in Paris where he studied with Picasso and André Lhote in 1947. For a period in the 1950s he lived in Spain in Ibiza and Catalonia.

He exhibited widely during his career - selection solo exhibitions included ones in the 1940s in Borås, Skara and Gothenburg, exhibitions at Du ungas salong in Stockholm during the 1950s and the Mariagalleriet in Stockholm in 1964. He participated in many group exhibitions including shows at Liljevalchs vårsalong in Stockholm during the 1960s.

Among Green's public works is the fifteen metre long fresco ‘Rullande hjul’ (Rolling Wheels) in Borås, and a large mural for Leander Johansson's staff room and the scrap sculpture in Sjömarken titled ‘Kungen och drottningen’ (the King and Queen).

He painted still life, figurative, landscape and abstract works in oil, watercolour, pastel and gouache. Green worked as an art teacher at Ålgården and at the high school in Borås. Examples of Green work are held in public collections is Sweden including the Borås Art Museum, Falbygden' Museum, Västervik Municipality collection, Borås Municipality collection and the Viared Museum. In 2016, a Memorial Exhibition was held in collaboration with Gallari Karlenström in Borås.

Green passed away on February 24, 1972 aged 58.
