Skote participated in many group exhibitions organized by the Sveriges Allmänna Konstförening (Swedish Public Art Association). Hewas awarded the Lidingö City Culture Scholarship in 1966. Skote is best known for his non-figurative abstract paintings, and coastal landscapes from Central Sweden and Rhodes, predominantly executed in oil.
