artist biography
Tage Radetzky, born October 27, 1878 in Helsingborg, was a Swedish painter and graphic artist.

Radetzky’s father Carl was stone lithographer who worked at Reuterdahl's stone lithograph printing studio in Malmö, and then took over B Cronholm's lithographic studio in Malmö. It was here from his father that the young Radetzky received his first art education. He continued his studies at the Högre konstindustriella skolan in Stockholmm, followed by time at the Academy of Fine Arts in Budapest between 1904 and 1908 and then at the Academy of Graphic Art in Leipzig from 1913 to 1914. He regularly participated in Skåne's Konstförenings (Art Association) exhibitions. He exhibited in the Swedish Exhibition Association's exhibition at the Nordiska Museet in Stockholm in 1948. He had a two artist show with Gotthard Sandberg at Malmö City Hall in 1929 and with a solo exhibition at the SDS Hall in Malmö.

Best known for his landscapes and scenes from everyday life, often set in Malmö painted in oil or watercolour. He also produced etchings.

Radetzky is represented at Malmö Museum and Southeast Skåne Museum in Tomelilla.

He passed away on February 27, 1954 in Malmö aged 75.
