artist biography
Jan Tore Alexander Langlet was born 24 January, 1918 in Gothenburg. He was a Swedish painter and illustrator.
Langlet studied at Valands konstskola (Art School) in Gothenburg, with renowned Swedish artist Isaac Grünewald (1889-1946), and at the Högre konstindustriella skolan in Stockholm. He is best known for his figurative and landscape paintings in oil. Examples of his work are held in the collection of the Eskilstuna Museum. His father was the painter Alexander Langlet (1870-1953).
He passed away on 26 February, 1976 in Hägersten, Stockholm.
