artist biography
Yoshiharu Kimura was a Japanese artist born in 1934 in Tokyo. Best known for his woodblock prints of birdhe was awarded a prize at Nihon Banga-in Exhibition in 1957 and in 1965 at Kokugakei Exhibition. In 1978 Yoshiharu Kimura became a member of Kokugakei. Between 1974 and 1979 he exhibited his woodblock prints at an annual one-man show at Odakyu Department Store. In 1988 Kimura had a solo exhibition show in Philadelphia, USA and at Yoseido Gallery in Tokyo.
