artist biography
Edvard Ferdinand Lassalle Andersson was born 18 March, 1891 in Helsingborg. He was a Swedish painter and art teacher.

Andersson studied at the Tekniska skolan in Stockholm and then continued his education during study trips to Germany and France. Andersson exhibited in both solo and group shows throughout his career. His debut solo exhibition was in 1918 Killberg's art salon in Helsingborg.

He had subsequent solo exhibitions at galleries in Helsingborg, Malmö and Ängelholm. He showed is group exhibitions with Sveriges allmänna konstförening (Sweden's general art association) , Scania's art association and Helsingborg's art association. Andersson painted figurative works, beach scenes, landscapes and still life works in oil, gouache or pastel as well as drawings. He also worked as a drawing teacher in Helsingborg.

Andersson passed away in 1967.
