artist bio
Bengt Anders Gunnar Lissegårdh was born 18 February, 1912 in Hudiksvall. H was a Swedish sculptor, painter and print maker.
Lissegårdh studied at the Tekniska skolan in Stockholm and at the Kungliga Konsthögskolan (Royal Academy of Fine Arts). He also studied sculpture with Bror Hjorth, Eric Grate and Henry Moore.
His work is held in numerous public collection sincluding the Moderna Museet in Stockholm, the Gothenburg Museum of Art, the Norrköping Museum of Art , the Victoria and Albert Museum, London and the Borås Museum of Art.
Lissegårdh passed away in Stockholm on 28 July 1979 at the age of 67.
