artist biography
Bengt Arne Bolin was born 27 February 1933 in Enåker, Uppland . He was a Swedish painter and print maker. Bolin’s father was the renowned Swedish instrument designer and maker Georg Bolin (1912-1993)

Bolin studied at the Konstakademien (Stockholm Academy of Fine Arts) and during several study trips in Europe. He lived in Spain for a period. He is best known for his constructive pop art often in the form of collages, cityscapes, landscapes sometimes inspired by American pop art and graphics. Examples of Bolin’s work are held in the collection of the Moderna Museet in Stockholm and at the Gustaf VI Adolf’s collection.

He passed away at the age of 75 on 18 May, 1996 in Råsunda, Solna.
