artist biography
Erwin Andersson was born in 1928 in Lomma. He was a Swedish painter and illustrator. 

Andersson exhibited his art in solo and group exhibitions several times around the country. He was awarded the Ellen Trotzig scholarship in 1963, the Malmöhus County Council's scholarship and the Lomma municipality's cultural scholarship in 1980. He is best known for his expressive abstract works in oil. As an illustrator, he illustrated several books and in 1983 he published the book ‘Laxagrin’. 

Example of Andersson’s work are held in the public collections of the Moderna Museet in Stockholm and at the Malmö Museum.

Andersson passed away in 1988.
