artist bio
Akke Jonsson was born in Östersund in 1930. He was a Swedish painter, print maker and sculptor.
Jonsson made his debut with an exhibition in Södertälje but has since mostly exhibited in Östersund, including at Ahlbergshallen and Jämtland County Museum. Received the Olof Högbergs Plaque in 1995. He lived and worked in Dvärsätt.
Jonsson passed away in 2005.
