artist biography 
Lillemor Tell was a Swedish artist born in Stockholm on February 4, 1920.

Tell studied at the Högre konstindustriella skolan in Stockholm and the Ecole Superieure des Beaux Arts in Paris, and in a number of French ateliers for seven years.
She has produced wall murals, book and magazine illustrations for Swedish and French publications in the 1940 and 50's including her 1951 book “Mitt kvarter i Paris" ("My Neighbourhood in Paris") featuring 80 of her full page drawings. In her fine art art she painted figurative works, portraits and landscape paintings from Paris, Corsica and southern France done in oil or watercolour.

She made her exhibition debut in Halmstad in 1952 and during her career had solo exhibitions in Stockholm, Gothenburg and other Swedish cities, abroad in Bergen , Copenhagen, Paris and New York . She participated several times in the National Museum's exhibition ‘Unga tecknare’ in the 1940s and HSB's spring salons in Norrköping 1942–1956.

Examples of her work are held in numerous collections including the National Museum in Stockholm, Tessin Institute in Paris, the Bergen Kunstforening, Norrköping Museum, Malmö Museum, Gothenburg's Museum, and the Operan och Konserthuset (Opera and Concert Hall) in Stockholm.

Tell passed away in 2010 aged 90.
