Sune Blomqvist was born in 1919 in Njurunda, Västernorrland. He was a Swedish artist.
Blomqvist grew up in an artistic family - his father was an amateur painter. Blomqvist initially studied advertising in Stockholm but switched to art and studied at Isaac Grünewald's målarskola (painting school) from 1944 to1946. He took private study trips to Spain. His debut solo exhibition was in 1946 in Sundsvall. Blomwvist exhibited in group shows in Sundsvall and Stockholm. He painted lyrical landscapes and city scenes as well as illustrations for the weekly press. In 2011 Sundsvall Museum held a memorial exhibition of Blomquist's art, and curator Barbro Björk compiled a small book about the artist.
Blomqvist passed away in 1989.
