artist biography
Jan Tomas Karsten Sjunnesson, born February 9, 1930 in Lund, is a Swedish artist. 

Sjunnesson studied at the Essem school in Malmö in 1948, Otte Sköld's painting school in Stockholm in 1949 and funder Ragnar Sandberg at the  Konsthögskolan School of Art from 1950 to 1956 and during self-study on repeated trips to the Mediterranean countries. 

Sjunnesson exhibited widely. Select exhibitions include solo shows at the Krognoshuset in Lund in 1958 and at the Akademiska föreningen in 1960. He participated in group exhibitions organised by the Skånes Art Association, Ängelholm's Art Association, Limhamn's Art Association and the exhibitions Kulla-art in Höganäs, ‘Unga tecknare’ at the National Museum in Stockholm, and the exhibition Facett i Rådhushallen in Malmö.
