artist biography
Knud Holar is a Swedish painter born in 1934 best known for his district abstract paintings in oil during the 1960s and 1970s.
Holar first exhibited in 1967 in the exhibition Skånes Konstförening at the Lund Konsthall. Select exhibitions include shows at in 1969 at Galleri Thalia, Stadsteater, Malmö and the Woodstock Gallery in London, in 1972 at the Upper Street Gallery, London, the Galerie St. Petri, Lund, Sweden, and Galleri Fold Gruszka, Kraków, Poland, in 1973 at Galleri Empik, Kraków, Poland, in 1974 again at the Upper Street Gallery, London, and in 1975 at the SDS-Hallen, Malmö, Sweden.
He was a member of Skånska Konstnärsklubben (Skånska Artist Club).
