artist biography
Oskar Harry Forss was born November 30, 1905 in Hörby. He was a Swedish art.
Forss worked at an advertising and sign business while studying at the technical and painting school in Malmö. He graduated in 1925. He then continued his studies in Copenhagen where he learned the technique of painting with lime and glue paint. He moved to Gothenburg in 1927 and worked there with advertising illustration before moving to Stockholm in 1929. He made his debut in the exhibition De unga konstnärern (The Young Artists) at PUB in Stockholm in 1934, together with John Erik Folke Karlsson he exhibited at Galerie Æsthetica and he exhibited separately at, among others, Galerie S:t Lucas and Galerie Orient.
Forss passed away in 1962.
