He was a Danish artist.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eJensen didn’t grow up in an artistic environment. His father was a farmer and Jensen didn’t study art at school, initially working as a blacksmith and then farrier. It wasn’t until 1945 that he began painting.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eHe made his debut at the \u003ci\u003eKunstnernes Efterärsudstilling\u003c\/i\u003e exhibition in 1949 and subsequently exhibited in this annual exhibition numerous times. He exhibited his work primarily at galleries in Denmark. He was a member of the artist organisation Vrå-udstillingen from 1948, and regularly exhibited with them. \u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eHe received art grants from the Danish Kulturministeriet (Ministry of Culture) and from Ole Haslunds Kunstnerfond.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp class=\"p1\"\u003eJensen is best known were scenes from his hometown of Brønderslev such as industrial buildings and the viaducts under the railway, and the flat landscape of nearby Store Vildmose. \u003cspan\u003eHis wife Kamma Marie is often seen as a stylised figure in the paintings. \u003c\/span\u003eHis constructivist flat based painting were often executed in a palette of blue and green.
