He was a Swedish artist.\u003cbr class=\"\"\u003e\u003cbr class=\"\"\u003e\u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003eWästerberg focused early on becoming an artist and after completing his schooling at the educational institution he studied drawing and painting with Gustaf Walles at the Sundsvall \u003cmeta charset=\"utf-8\"\u003e\u003cspan\u003estads yrkesskola (\u003c\/span\u003eVocational School) and privately with Helmer Osslund . He continued his art studies with Isaac Grünewald and Otte Sköld at the Kungliga konsthögskolan (Royal Academy of Fine Arts) in Stockholm from 1936–1941 and through self-study during trips to France, Norway and Spain. He made his solo debut with an exhibition at the De ungas salong in Stockholm in 1949 which was followed by solo exhibitions in Sundsvall. Together with Gustaf Walles and Sune Blomqvist he exhibited in Sundsvall and he was represented a few times in exhibitions at Liljevalchs konsthall in Stockholm and group exhibitions in Sundsvall.
