Martin Sjöblom was born September 17, 1920 in Tällberg in Leksand municipality. He was a Swedish painter.

Sjöblom studied at Edward Berggrens målarskola in Stockholm in 1937 and at the Konsthögskolan (Academy of Fine Arts) in Stockholm from 1942 to 1947. He took seperate study trips to France. Select solo exhibitions include his debut, held at Galleri Brinken in Stockholm in 1954, exhibitions at Färg och Form in 1962 and again in 1966. He exhibited in numerous group shows throughout his career including ones the at Konstakademien beginning in 1943, at Falun (Dalarnas konstförening) in 1948, Färg och Form in 1950, Höganäs 'Kulla-konst’ in 1951, Bettna in Södermanland in 1954, Simrishamn ’Konstnärer på Österlen’ regularly beginning in 1957, Galerie Bogestad in Gothenburg in 1958, Hammenhög in 1960, Ystad in 1961 and Malmö in 1962. Sjöblom painted in oil and favourite subjects included still life and landscape paintings, often from Österlen.

He passed away at the age of 83 on June 10, 2004 in Ravlunda, Skåne.
