He was a Swedish painter and illustrator.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003ePettersson was initially self taught but then formally studied art at the Valands målarskola (painting school) from 1957 to the late 1950s.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eSelect exhibitions included an exhibition of Gothenburg art in Härnösand in 1948, exhibitions organsised by Folkrörelsernas konstfrämjande in Borås and Eskilstuna in 1949 and in Ulricehamn in 1950. He exhibited work in the \u003ci\u003eSvenskt och Franskt Måler\u003c\/i\u003ei (\u003ci\u003eSwedish and French Art\u003c\/i\u003e) exhibition in Falkenberg in 1953.
